The Northeast Oklahoma Regional Alliance works to better align the 14 counties within region. It is within our scope to facilitate projects that lead to greater collaboration and promote the spirit of regionalism. Our goal is to ensure the economic prosperity of northeastern Oklahoma.
SET: STRONGER ECONOMIES TOGETHER Stronger Economies Together is a proven, highly interactive program that promotes rural economic development. The purpose of SET is to strengthen communities by working together and developing plans that will aid in furthering economic development in the region. Four counties in NORA’s region worked together recently to develop a strategic plan for Adair, Cherokee, Delaware and Sequoyah counties (dubbed Crossing Borders Region) through the SET program, which is supported by the US Department of Agriculture and facilitated by Oklahoma State University Extension.
